"Rose from Monsters Inc, is that you? It is nearly impossible on google profiles to get this many negative reviews from so many people with the same experience. This is an indication of a much larger problem. It means that realistically THOUSANDS of people over the time of the reviews have been turned away or turned off from this organization all because of the woman answering the phones. I am going to look into whether or not this organization has any formal complaints against it. It may just be that they are REQUIRED to pick up the phone to meet their funding requirements set forth by the state and pay their salaries, but don’t want to actually do the extra work that goes into it, denying those most in need of their civil liberties. Or perhaps the woman on the phone is just wretched and knows she can do whatever she wants without being fired. I called myself on behalf of someone else and after being on hold for 15 minutes was yelled at by this woman who had the phone that I was bothering her and my questions were unbearable. Ma’am, this is your job. If you really let this many people down, I don’t know how you sleep at night. Perhaps you’re just at peace with how awful your social skills are. Perhaps you just grew old without ever growing up. Whatever the reason may be, you should be fired, investigated, and be made an example of."

"I cannot fathom how this place is still in existence. The woman is extremely rude and unprofessional. I believe her name is Maggie James, as she responded to that name when I was calling asking for Ms James (thinking I was asking for her supervisor). I have never in my life heard a person in a place of business conduct herself this way from the moment she answered the phone. Aside from taking the lawyer referral calls, I wonder how she is affiliated with this organization, as she doesn't care if you think she is rude. She knows there will be no consequences from any higher ups. This "non-profit" doesn't seem to be accomplishing much besides offending every person who is looking for an attorney."

"OMG so rude!!! My entire day has been disrupted, JANET W. the front desk administrator or whatever you wanna call her is absolutely the most unprofessional , disrespectful person I have ever spoke too and shes the face of communication? The more polite I was the more nasty she continued to be. What in the world is going on here how is her behavior acceptable? Why is she allowed to speak to people who is only calling to hire a lawyer for help. Im disgusted im disrespected she also hung up on me because she didn’t wanna answer anymore of my questions, im going to ask questions because i don't know. This is insane and looking at the reviews here her behavior is not new! Janet needs training on how to treat ,speak and act accordingly when communicating on the phone to potential clients or lose her job entirely and hire someone who can represent this bar association with dignity and class ,who has the ability to communicate on the phone professionally. Im going to file a complaint on her and the association because if I don’t this nasty behavior will continue and continue and continue. JANET WESS she also refused to spell her last name so this is all i was able to get from the rude, mean lady. It didn't even have to come to this but she refuse to curve the ball in a nice way and continue down rude lady lane and said she does mind me asking questions and if that wasn’t enough hanging up on me was her icing on the cake!"

"I just found out first hand why this organization has all these 1 star reviews. I called to see if they could refer me to an attorney for a mobile home park eviction. They very rudely informed me didn't represent tenants. Only landlords. Then very rudely hung up on me while I was talking. I guess they only help people get attorneys if you're wealthy and politically connected."

"They don’t even deserve the one star! The rudest most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Was told to call them to find an attorney to help with tenant rights and was told there are no attorneys in Onondaga county to help tenants and when asked what we should do she stated that, she didn’t appreciate being bullied…all because we called for help and asked a legitimate question?!?! I don’t know what their definition of bullying is because that never happened. Clearly lawyers only want to help slumlords and Onondaga county clearly doesn't care about the people who work hard and just want a safe and comfortable home. I have never in my life tried so hard to do the right thing and to try and find legal help only to be met with rude, unprofessional and heartless people who could care less. People only want to help when it’s to late! It’s really sad that all the reviews posted are very similar and clearly the county as well as the bar could care less in who they hire and how they treat people. Anyone know of any actual attorneys that do their job and help people???"
